ibis Abbeville

Ibis Abbeville is a smart, clean, well-appointed modern hotel on the outskirts of Abbeville. It is perfectly located as a stop-off between north-west Paris and Calais. The staff are courteous and attentive. We were surprised at the quality of the dinner menu, and the food was excellent - the salad bar was particularly good. Breakfast was also excellent with a good range of cooked and continental options, and you can even boil your own egg. Our room was spacious and clean, with a lovely view over open countryside.

It’s close to the A16, an hour and twenty mins from Calais so a great stopover location on route to your final destination. The hotel is off the road so traffic noise is limited. No tea and coffee making facilities in the room. The rooms we stayed in were very clean although small and basic - we had two interconnecting room on the ground floor with very limited space to move around but we were only overnighting before driving to our next destination. It’s dog friendly and there’s plenty of space to short exercise and toilet them. The continental breakfast was very good. Small choice but a variety of items - they kept it stocked up during the breakfast service. The staff were accommodating, efficient and friendly. Also it close to a small shopping complex which included HyperU supermarket and a pharmacy and undercover parking (useful when it’s raining). There were other amenities. Overall I thought it was good value for money and very conveniently located

The reception staff were friendly and efficient. The rooms were comfortable and clean, the shower was warm and worked well. The restaurant and bar had a reasonable selection on the menu and breakfast was sufficient.

Excellent smiling staff giving good advices . The Breakfast was excellent offering prestations that you find usually in 4 or 5 stars hotel, like an egg boiler , fresh oranges already pealed etc, There is a very powerful charging station for EV near the Ford dealership at 400 meters.

Quite a large room on the ground floor that was good for us as we had a lot of luggage. Clean, a very large comfortable bed with excellent crisp, clean bedding. Check in was quick and efficient and parking was right outside reception. The room had been cleaned to a high standard and the bathroom was spotless. What made our stay was the excellent on site restaurant, the food was exceptional, a good choice at reasonable prices and the hardworking waitress couldn’t have been nicer. We were sceptical about this on arrival as restaurants at the Ibis in the UK can be poor but this exceeded our expectations, breakfast was good too and great coffee!
